Gemprint

Gemprinting is a safe lab process of diamond identification that uses a laser optic photographic system. This procedure protects your diamond by giving your diamond its own "fingerprint." Many insurance companies offer premium discounts for diamonds that are registered with a gemprint.

Jewelry Consulting & Designing

At Baokha, our jeweler/gemologist can assist you in choosing a designer piece from our extensive collection. Should you desire to "sketch" and design your one-of-a-kind item, we will help you to carefully select the best available gemstone and to choose an appropriate precious metal for the setting. We can even take your "old" jewelry and upgrade the gold karatage. Most importantly, we can incorporate the memories of your jewelry into a newly designed piece.

Jewelry Repair & Restoration

At Baokha, the integrity, professionalism, and skill of our staff (designers, consultants, gemologist, goldsmith, and silversmith) ensures that your jewelry will be handled with the utmost care. All gold and silver repairs are done by our in-house master goldsmith and silversmith. We also do minor watch repairs, electroplating, and engraving.

Electroplating

Baokha offers this service, which in general is the deposition through electrolysis of an adherent coating of one metal alloy on an object made of another metal or alloy. For example, a silver ring can be electroplated with yellow gold because they are both metal alloys. Electroplating may be undertaken for a variety of purposes to:

provide the object's surface with a more pleasing luster and appearance

give the object a resistance to oxidation and corrosion

repair or replace worn parts of the object

Electroplating is also useful because it gives the appearance of gold or platinum without you having to purchase the high price of solid platinum and gold.

Wax-Casting

At Baokha, our wax-casting service offers the customer a chance to view the dimensions and physical appearance of specific settings and styles. There is a great flexibility with wax-casting as it allows for the goldsmith or silversmith to create your fine jewelry with the exact attributes that you requested.
