Baokha Fine Jewelry is a family-owned business, established since 1989 in McLean, Virginia by Nhu-Suong "Thai" Vo (picture on left). A former biochemist, science teacher, and real estate broker, Thai is the owner/president of Baokha as well as the mother of

Bao--His name means "precious little treasure," something of value
Kha--Her name means "quality and inner beauty"

So together, Bao and Kha translate from the Vietnamese language into "fine jewelry." Thus, inspired by her children, Thai created the store name Baokha Fine Jewelry. For the past twelve years, Thai has been committed to her beliefs that:

• Jewelry is self-expression; it is filled with emotions that go beyond fashion and trends of the moment. Her designs are made to be worn by women everyday, not just for special occasions.
• Jewelry is harmony between precious metals and gems, and between nature and man's aspirations. Thus, Baokha designs are simple, elegant, and timeless.
• Excellent customer service and quality merchandise require not only gemological knowledge and continued education, but most of all it requires INTEGRITY.

She is also a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and she earned the title of Professional Gemologist (P.G.) from the Columbia School of Gemology.

Baokha Fine Jewelry is a member of the Jeweler's Board of Trade (JBT), the Jeweler's Vigilance Committee (JVC), and the Jewelers of America (JA). The JVC is the jewelry industry's "Guardian of Ethics and Integrity," and the JA also sets a code of ethics and standards for professional conduct.
